“It’s been quite the theatrical election and I’m a hopeful person, so I still believe at the end of the day, we’ll pull this off, but the next few days will tell,” Wilson said.

 

Newcomer Phil Hosp surpassed appointed incumbent Councilman Andy Wilson by a mere 20 votes as preliminary results came in Tuesday evening in the race for Pasadena’s District 7 council seat.

The razor-thin margin makes the race too early to call with more than 300 votes still outstanding. A final tally is expected to be certified on April 26.

Hosp received 1,602 votes to Wilson’s 1,582, according to the early results.
