Incumbent Andy Wilson won four more years on Pasadena’s City Council Wednesday following a last-minute rally from mail-in and provisional ballots that pushed him back into the lead.

Wilson initially came up 20 votes short against challenger Phil Hosp on election night, but the late ballots more than covered the gap. Wilson ended Wednesday night with a 36-vote lead.

“Hallelujah,” Wilson shouted shortly after City Clerk Mark Jomsky read the second tally.

Wilson received 1,793 votes, to Hosp’s 1,757.
